ITNewsBuzz: Shed some light on the product lines that you have for Indian customers.
GopalJeyaraj: We are charging experts and innovators of smart devices for entertainment, travel, and smart homes. The innovation is being led by our 5 key brands:Anker which includes Smart Charging products (Smart & Fast charging Powerbanks, QC Chargers and cables).Anker pioneers Power Delivery technology to charge phones, tablets, and laptops at unprecedented speeds. Followed by Soundcore which includes Premium Audio products (Bluetooth Headphones, TWS, Life style Speakers)Soundcore breaks audio illusions to create speakers and earphones that spark real emotions. Next being Nebula which focusses on Smart Projectors (Smart Portable Projectors). NEBULA represents a new and exciting class of smart, portable entertainment devices, Roav includes Smart Car Products (Dashcams, Jump starter) and lastly Eufy the Smart Home Products (Robotic Vacuum cleaners, Smart Surveillance camera and Smart Bulb) EUFY creates a new generation of connected devices and appliances that will simplify the smart-home experience and also makes it more accessible.
ITNewsBuzz: What difference is Anker making in the industry and how your offerings are competitive?
GopalJeyaraj: Despite being in India for only a year, Anker is poised to grow big. Unlike other brands, we are not focussed only on the price point, Anker focusses on Innovative solutions that can empower the lives of the Individuals. All our products processes follow stringent manufacturing principles, ensuring we deliver top quality products and solutions. Our aim is superior technology with no compromise in Quality products to Indian customers for the investment they make in Anker.
ITNewsBuzz: Please share your retail expansion plans across India. What innovative and new are you doing in terms of marketing and promotions in India?
GopalJeyaraj: Anker currently is already available in major retail chains which includes LFR (Reliance Digital), Organised Chains (Poorvika, Happi Mobiles, BNew, Celekt and other big OT chains are under discussions to take up Anker. Apart from these chains, we are also getting encouraged and supported by top gadget and telecom stores across major cities. The same channel will be targeted for the other group Brands of Anker. Our policy on marketing and promotions is mainly to educate and communicate the smart and innovative technology on all our products and guiding the customers to make the right choice while making their buying decision.
ITNewsBuzz: What is your channel base in India? What are your unique initiatives for the channel nourishment? How do you ensure partners’ profitability along with the revenue growth?
GopalJeyaraj: As mentioned above, we have quite an extensive channel base set up. We are available with top LFR chain, OT chains, Gadget stores, Telecom stores across major cities. We are also available on Amazon and Flipkart ( Ecom Platforms) Our aim is to provide good ROI to our partner by offering aggressive margins to all layers of channel and at the same time providing aggressive pricing to our customers. We intend to balance the both. And also our very low and negligible return rates on our products is the motivating factor to the retail and online channel to confidently suggest and promote our brand and products to the customers.
ITNewsBuzz: You entered Indian market little late, so what are your plans ahead? What are Anker’s priority areas for India in 2018-2019?
GopalJeyaraj: Rather than saying late, we would like to say that we entered India at the right time. This is the time where Smartphones are evolving in much faster phase and people are providing equal importance to the accessory buying decision as well. 2018-2019, is very important period for us. We will be launching all our five brands to the channel Market and our main strategy is to make our products available at many retail points as possible with our existing strong relationship and brand pull. We will certainly try to enrich and empower as much life as possible in Indian markets.
ITNewsBuzz: Where do you see Anker in India 5 years down the line?
GopalJeyaraj: With our strong innovative technology on products we will provide quality products to our customers and will become leading smart charging and consumer products brand in India. We aim to target the unexplored markets. We are doing everything necessary to be present at every consumer touch points.
