Ripunjoy Gogoi : I believe ASUSTOR entered the Indian market at a very right time when market, be it an individual or a corporate of any size, appreciates the need of a professional Backup solution.Low awareness,increasing usage of external hard drives and flash drives to store the data is the reason for low penetration of NAS systems in end-user segment. USB external storage or such traditional backup devices are the ones are still been widely used. Through various awareness programs, we need to cultivate among the individual user that NAS is not only for the corporate or large database but it is equally economically affordable for individual uses. In the long run, the NAS is more economically in many terms; It is onetime expenses, Small two-bay NAS having the capacity of upto 14 TB per bay, Archive etc. To influence HOME buyers ASUSTOR NAS is having all that entertainment features one can look for. ASUSTOR NAS is not only a Backup Solution Box, but it is much more than that, it is a total entertainment box; ultimate audio entertainment, 4K video output, photo gallery, your dedicated cinema, The dynamic ASUSTOR portal direct to your TV connecting with HDMI, Supporting over 200 applications including apps like Youtube, Netflix, Amazon Prime Videos India, Gmail, Google apps etc., It has its own Download Centre to download and install desired applications, It is a personal cloud, IP surveillance solution box, mail server box and Mobile apps connects with your NAS through your smartphone from where ever you go.

ITNewsBuzz: What is your channel base in India? What are your unique initiatives for the channel nourishment? How do you ensure partners’ profitability along with the revenue growth?
Ripunjoy Gogoi : We have various channel but all channels are routed through ASUSTOR’s direct distributors. The channels like Value Added Distributors (VAD), System Integrators, Consultants, Online and Retail. But,need to work more on a Retail segment to get popularity among individual buyers as well.
We have appointed Regional Distributors believing Local Partners have a better understanding of the local culture, tradition, language,technology, business and peoples around. As of now, we have Regional distributors in all regions that cater in their designated region only. To have harmony among our partners we do not allow the partner to business cross-border region. This also ensures their profitability. We have our global internal policies to motivate the channels.
ITNewsBuzz: How significant has been the contribution of the partner ecosystem behind ASUSTOR’s growth?
Ripunjoy Gogoi : It is very much significant. We completely believe that we ASUSTOR can grow in Indian soil only with the continuous support from the Partners. As, I submitted before it is the partners who know his surrounding market and Vice Versa the end customers also prefer to recognize the local partners only, cause to have proper maintenance of the supplied system. That is the reason in ASUSTOR’s business ecosystem we have a clear regional hierarchy.

PERSONAL Cloud Backup will play an important factor in the growth of the Backup market.Because of the revolution in the reliable and affordable internet, the market will respond to the Personal cloud backup feature.
Personal Cloud is a very much a worth backup solution, when every household has at least one laptop and smartphones almost with every individual. There is always a threat of data got corrupted, destroy of laptop/PC or smartphones and limited storage space. Many times the data could not be recovered. So opting centralized backup solution like NAS may able to recover the data. The first and foremost thing you are the owner of your own backup data on the personal cloud. Your data is not in an undisclosed location,in case you have stored your data with any cloud services, the data is at your own office or home. So, I believe the market will appreciate the need for“PERSONAL CLOUD”.
