Sony India announced the rollout of the new Android 8.0 Oreo update for its Xperia R1 and R1 Plus smartphone. The roll-out is effective from 9th March, 2018.

- Smart content choice: Android Oreo perceives content when you tap or select, at that point prescribes a next intelligent advance through a proposed application
- Notification Dots: Press the warning spots to rapidly observe what’s new, and effectively clean them by swiping up
- Android Instant Apps: Teleport specifically into new apps appropriate from your program, no establishment required
- Express yourself in more routes than any other time in recent memory: Share the feels with a completely upgraded emoji set, including more than 60 new emoji
